Exciting News: The Raven Audiobook Series Has Officially Launched!

After years of nurturing this story in the depths of my imagination, I’m incredibly excited to announce that The Raven audiobook series has officially launched! 🎉 For those who have been following along on this journey, you already know that this is not just any project—it's a passion that has lived inside my head for over 25 years. Yes, you read that right. I started working on The Raven when I was a teenager, and for nearly two and a half decades, this story has grown and evolved alongside me. (And yes, I know, I don’t look that old—thank you in advance! 😉)

It’s taken me a long time to feel comfortable enough to release this, and a big part of that is because, as an author with AuDHD, there’s a delicate balance between passion and perfectionism. Releasing something that’s been a part of me for so long is exhilarating, but it also comes with a unique set of challenges. My creative process, like so many others who have neurodivergent brains, doesn’t always follow a straight line. It can be messy, full of rethinks and hesitations, but also full of incredible moments of clarity and inspiration. To see The Raven come to life in audiobook format is a deeply personal achievement, and I’m beyond excited to finally share it with all of you.

Bringing The Raven to Life with the Perfect Voice

One of the most important parts of this journey was finding the right person to narrate this world I’ve lived in for so long. I’ve had the privilege of working with a trusted narrator on past projects, someone who understands the nuances of my writing and who, quite honestly, can bring the characters to life in a way I never thought possible. They’re a true professional, with a real IMDB listing to their name, which only adds to the excitement of this release.

Together, we’ve brought the first three episodes of The Raven to life, and I can’t wait for you to hear it. There’s something about the spoken word—especially when done right—that adds a whole new dimension to a story. The characters you’ve read about in print now have voices. The world you’ve imagined now has a soundscape. It’s a surreal experience for me, and I hope it will be equally immersive for you as a listener.

The Raven’s Growth: More Than Just an Audiobook

But there’s more happening behind the scenes. Over the past few years, The Raven has started to garner attention in ways I could only dream of when I first put pen to paper all those years ago. This story has been pitched to executives around the world, and I’m thrilled to share that there have been some tentative nibbles, along with a few formal requests. While we’re still in the early stages of these conversations, it’s incredibly exciting to know that there’s real interest in expanding The Raven beyond the audiobook.

You know, as a storyteller, you always hope that your work will resonate with people beyond just the written word. It’s a strange feeling—part terrifying, part exhilarating—to think that The Raven could one day exist in other formats, perhaps even on a larger stage. And while I don’t want to get too ahead of myself, I can’t help but feel optimistic about what’s to come. I know that it only takes the right pair of eyes to see the potential in this series and to understand the void it could fill in the current media landscape.

Why The Raven Could Be the Fresh Air We All Need

Let’s face it—we live in a time when creativity in mainstream storytelling can feel a bit… stale. We’re surrounded by unnecessary sequels, endless remakes, and retellings of the same origin stories over and over again. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of the classics—Batman and Spider-Man are both iconic for a reason—but there’s only so many times you can watch the same characters go through the same motions before you start to wonder, where has all the creativity gone?

And then there are the failed remakes—oh, we’ve all seen those, haven’t we? (Not looking at The Crow 👀). It feels like every time something new is announced, it’s a rehash of a story we already know, or worse, a poor attempt to revive something that probably should’ve been left in peace. As a writer, as a fan of storytelling, it’s frustrating to watch. But it’s also what drives me to create stories like The Raven—stories that aim to bring something fresh and exciting to the table. Something that doesn’t rely on nostalgia or retelling the same old narrative, but instead, pushes the boundaries of imagination.

The Raven is the kind of story that has the potential to fill that creative void. It’s dark, it’s layered, and it’s full of twists and turns that will keep listeners on the edge of their seats. I’ve poured my heart and soul into building this world, and I truly believe it has the potential to resonate with those looking for something more than the same recycled plots.

What’s Next for The Raven? The Future is Bright

The truth is, while I’m excited about the audiobook release, this is just the beginning for The Raven. There’s so much potential for this story to grow—whether that’s in the form of more audiobooks, graphic novels, or even, one day, an on-screen adaptation. You'll all know that October marks the release of Season 2 (another six novellas) which means you're going to learn even more about our titular new supernatural hero. With the ongoing interest from industry executives, who knows what the future holds? I’ve always believed in the power of storytelling, and I know that with the right platform, The Raven could fly his way into the hearts of many.

But for now, I’m taking it one step at a time. The audiobook is a huge milestone, and I can’t wait to see where it leads. Whether you’re a long-time fan of the series or someone who’s just discovering The Raven for the first time, I hope you’ll join me on this journey. 🎧 The first three episodes are now available, and I would love to hear your thoughts once you’ve had a chance to listen.

Thank You for Your Support

To everyone who has been there from the beginning, thank you. Your support has meant the world to me, and it’s because of you that The Raven is now out in the world. For those just joining, welcome—I can’t wait to share this story with you.

Here’s to the next chapter in The Raven's journey, and here’s to a future filled with creativity, imagination, and the stories that still need to be told.
